Ryan Reynolds Green Lantern Workout Routine

Ryan Reynolds Green Lantern Workout Routine Consisted of 90 Minute workouts 7 days a week!















Ryans personal trainer Bobby Storm was with him for 6 months to get him in the best shape possible for his starring role in the Green Lantern. They workouts out 7 days a week for around 90 minutes a day. None of the workout routines were ever done twice. They always switched up the exercises to prevent getting stuck in a fitness plateau.

What did the workouts consist of?

Some of the workouts would consist of 70% abs training with leg work or upper body work. Many of the workouts would use a lot of dumbbell training and functional training moves.
Ryan would do legs one day and then skip legs the next day. Do abs and upper body one day. And then do minimal ab workouts the next day. Always switching it up never doing the same exercises one day after the other giving the muscle groups a day to rest and recover.

While shooting Green Lantern what was Ryan doing for exercise?

While shooting for Green Lantern Ryan would switch to workouts like Yoga and Pilates when he was too tired for heavy lifting. On days that he was sore from stunt work he would do a lot of stretching and massage his muscles with foam rollers.

What were Ryan Reynolds stats for movies like Green Lantern and Blade?

Ryan had to gain some muscle for these action figure roles. For Green Lantern he was around 200 pounds at 8% body fat. He is a great athlete and Ryan and his Trainer Bobby Storm would create functional training workouts that would sculpt him that superhero look.
